My DH is wicked good at compositing with Photoshop, so we work together on Proof of Concepts that give me the chance to try out different ideas and looks without having to spend the money on materials or make the emotional committment to projects of this size. What do you think? Email me!


When I was browsing my favorite cross stitch sites in December to fill up a Christmas wish list, I stumbled upon these new designs published by Heritage Stitchcraft and have been drooling over them ever since. My current plan is to redecorate our bedroom to match these four panels but I have yet to purchase the patterns. I keep telling myself I need to finish one of my WIPs first.

Winter Queen, another Mirabilia pattern (#13), is also on deck for later this year. I have purchased the pattern and fabric and hope to start it later this year. This is the factory model picture.

 Proof of Concept

I have ordered a specialty fabric called "Moonbeam" for this project from Sugar Maple Fabrics. The image is a Proof of Concept composite.

Celestial Dragon by Teresa Wentzler Design Works will be my most difficult undertaking yet due to the complexity of the pattern, but I fell in love with it and couldn't resist purchasing the pattern. However, due to all the specialty items required, I will probably wait until spring to kit it up.
